WD_BLACK SN850X 8TB Gen4 NVMe SSD with Heatsink
8TBPCIe Gen4 x4 NVMeUp to 7,300MB/sHeatsink · 4800 TBW
The WD_BLACK SN850X 8TB with heatsink, part number WDS800T2XHE-00CDD0, is the flagship, maximum-capacity PCIe Gen4 internal M.2 2280 NVMe SSD for serious gamers and creators. Its integrated heatsink keeps performance consistent under sustained heavy load, while the enormous 8TB capacity lets you keep an entire game library or large media archive installed at once — no more deleting and re-downloading.
With sequential reads up to 7,300MB/s, writes up to 6,600MB/s and random performance up to 1,200K IOPS, the SN850X delivers near the top of Gen4 speed. Carrying EAN 0718037904924 and MPN WDS800T2XHE-00CDD0, this 8TB model uses WD 3D TLC NAND, features Game Mode 2.0 and nCache 4.0, is rated for a huge 4800 TBW and is backed by a 5-year limited warranty. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility note
This drive uses the M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe interface and includes an integrated heatsink. The 8TB model is double-sided and the heatsink adds height, so it is intended for desktop motherboards with M.2 clearance — it will not fit thin laptops, and clearance must be checked for console use. It is backward compatible with PCIe Gen3 at reduced speed, and will not work in SATA-only M.2 slots.

Singular Expert Insight
The 8TB SN850X with heatsink is a halo product: it pairs flagship Gen4 speed with the maximum capacity in the range, aimed at gamers and creators who genuinely need to keep huge libraries and projects on a single fast drive. The integrated heatsink and Game Mode 2.0 keep it consistent under load, though the double-sided 8TB design is best suited to desktops with proper M.2 clearance. If you do not need this much space, the 2TB or 4TB SN850X offers the same speed for far less — the 8TB is specifically for those who want it all. Browse the full range in our internal SSDs.
Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You want the maximum 8TB of top-tier Gen4 gaming storage in a single drive for a high-end desktop, to keep a huge library installed, with Game Mode 2.0 and a 5-year warranty.
Skip it if
You do not need 8TB (the 2TB/4TB SN850X is the same speed for much less), you have a thin laptop, or you need a guaranteed PS5 fit (verify clearance first).
Also consider
The SN850X 2TB/4TB for the same speed at lower cost, the non-heatsink 8TB for desktops with their own M.2 cooling, or the Crucial T710 for a Gen5 desktop.
