WD_BLACK SN850X 1TB Gen4 NVMe SSD with Heatsink
1TBPCIe Gen4 x4 NVMeUp to 7,300MB/sHeatsink · PS5 Ready
The WD_BLACK SN850X 1TB with heatsink, part number WDS100T2XHE-00BCA0, is a high-end PCIe Gen4 internal M.2 2280 NVMe SSD engineered for serious gamers and creators. Its integrated low-profile heatsink keeps performance consistent under heavy load and is sized to fit the PlayStation 5, making it one of the best drives for both PC gaming rigs and console storage expansion.
With sequential reads up to 7,300MB/s, writes up to 6,300MB/s and random performance up to 1,100K IOPS, the SN850X delivers near the top of Gen4 speed. Carrying EAN 0718037891385 and MPN WDS100T2XHE-00BCA0, this 1TB model uses WD 3D TLC NAND, features Game Mode 2.0 and nCache 4.0, is rated for 600 TBW and is backed by a 5-year limited warranty. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility note
This drive uses the M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe interface and includes an integrated heatsink. The low-profile heatsink is designed to fit the PlayStation 5’s storage expansion slot as well as desktop motherboards — check clearance on compact laptops, as the heatsink adds height. It is backward compatible with PCIe Gen3 at reduced speed, and will not work in SATA-only M.2 slots.

Singular Expert Insight
The WD_BLACK SN850X is one of the best gaming SSDs of its generation, and the 1TB heatsink model is the entry point for two audiences: PS5 owners who want a fast expansion drive that fits the console’s slot, and PC gamers building a high-end rig. The integrated heatsink and Game Mode 2.0 keep performance consistent under load. If you keep a very large game library you may prefer 2TB or 4TB, but for a fast boot-and-games drive the 1TB SN850X is exactly the right tool. Browse the full range in our internal SSDs.
Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You want a top-tier 1TB Gen4 gaming SSD for a PS5 (heatsink fits the expansion slot) or a high-end PC, with fast loads, Game Mode 2.0 and a 5-year warranty.
Skip it if
You need it for a thin laptop (the heatsink adds height — pick the non-heatsink model), you keep a huge game library (consider 2TB/4TB), or you are on a tight budget.
Also consider
The SN850X without heatsink for laptops, larger SN850X capacities (2TB/4TB) for big libraries, or the Crucial T710 if you have a PCIe Gen5 desktop.
