The SEVERIN FR 2445 is the XXL model of the range: a five-litre basket that takes up to 1.5 kg of chips or a whole 1.5 kg chicken, driven by a 2000 W element. Temperature runs from 80 to 200 °C and the timer goes to 60 minutes with an audible finish signal and automatic shut-off. Eight automatic programmes cover the usual jobs, and a memory function keeps your adjustments to them. Both the basket insert and the basket holder are ceramic coated rather than conventional non-stick, and everything is operated from an LED touch display.
Compatibility — check before buying:

SEVERIN’s English marketing text claims otherwise, but the German specification field and the instruction manual both state plainly that no part should go in a dishwasher. Wash the basket and holder by hand in hot soapy water. Also note the appliance is 31.5 x 44 x 35 cm — that is a substantial worktop footprint, and it needs clear space above and behind for the hot air outlet. The cable is 80 cm, so it must sit near a socket. SEVERIN publishes no noise level and no PFAS or PTFE-free claim for the ceramic coating — the coating is described only as ceramic. If you are replacing a smaller fryer, measure the space before ordering.
