The white Shuttle XPC all-in-one X50N brings a 15.6-inch resistive touchscreen and Intel N150 processor into one fanless barebone. Included Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, 2.5GbE networking, a Full HD webcam, microphone and stereo speakers provide the core connections for POS, information terminals and kiosk applications. Choose and install DDR5 memory, an SSD or HDD and a supported operating system to complete your configuration.

Compatibility — check before buying:

This barebone does not include RAM, a storage drive or an operating system. It accepts one DDR5 SO-DIMM up to 16GB; desktop DIMMs and DDR4 are unsuitable. The built-in display is 1366 × 768 and single-touch, not Full HD or multitouch. IP54 applies only to the front panel. Check the supplied Schuko mains plug against your local socket arrangement.

Key Features

Touch operation with a clear screen specification

The 15.6-inch LED-backlit panel uses five-wire resistive single-touch input with a fingertip or the included stylus. Its native 1366 × 768 resolution suits touch control and information interfaces. The separate built-in webcam captures Full HD 1920 × 1080 video; that camera resolution does not change the screen resolution.

Passive cooling for planned continuous use

A heatpipe thermal system works without a cooling fan. Shuttle approves 24/7 operation with free airflow, clear vents and a continuously rated HDD if one is fitted. For continuous operation under load, observe 5–40°C and 10–80% non-condensing humidity. The IP54 front panel tolerates dust and splashes in suitable indoor applications.

Network and display flexibility

An Intel 2.5GbE port and included Wi-Fi 5/Bluetooth 4.2 connect the system to networks and peripherals. HDMI 2.0b and VGA allow two extra screens, making three simultaneous displays including the integrated panel. HDMI supports up to 3840 × 2160 at 60Hz; the six external USB ports provide two 10Gb/s and four 5Gb/s connections.

Configure storage, mounting and serial connections

Fit one M.2 2280 NVMe or SATA SSD and a 2.5-inch SATA drive up to 9.5mm high as needed. VESA 100 × 100mm holes become accessible after removing the rear stand; the VESA mount is separate. Two PCP11 adapters add two RS232 COM ports, while WLN-M12 upgrades wireless networking. These optional accessories are purchased separately.

What Will Not Work

The system cannot operate as a completed PC until suitable RAM, storage and an OS are installed.

The single memory slot does not accept two modules, desktop DIMMs or DDR4 SO-DIMMs.

The panel does not provide Full HD resolution or multitouch gestures.

IP54 front protection does not make the entire computer waterproof or suitable for immersion.

Serial COM ports, an external VESA mount and the Wi-Fi 6 upgrade are not supplied.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this include 8GB RAM, an SSD or Windows?

No. This is the X50N barebone, distinct from configured POS systems. Add one compatible DDR5 SO-DIMM up to 16GB, suitable storage and Windows 11 64-bit or Linux 64-bit. The processor, screen, wireless card and multimedia components are included.

Can I attach two external screens?

Yes. The built-in screen plus HDMI and VGA support three simultaneous displays. Extended mode shows independent content. Clone mode uses 1366 × 768 across the displays. HDMI supports up to 4K at 60Hz and VGA up to 1920 × 1080 at 60Hz.

What should I check before a POS or kiosk installation?

Check your application, single-touch requirements, RAM and storage, airflow, operating environment and mains plug. Serial equipment needs the optional PCP11 adapters. VESA mounting requires a separate compatible mount; the front panel protection does not cover the whole chassis.
