Silicon Power Armor A60 2TB — IPX4 Rugged Drive
2 TB CapacityIPX4 Water-ResistantMIL-STD-810G ShockproofUSB 3.2 Gen 1
The Silicon Power Armor A60 (SP020TBPHDA60S3A) is a 2TB rugged portable external hard drive with IPX4 water resistance and military-grade shock protection, built for photographers, field workers and travellers who need their data to survive the elements. The part number SP020TBPHDA60S3A identifies the 2TB black model in the Armor A60 range. An ultra-rugged rubber casing, internal suspension and a sealed cable-carry design protect against drops, splashes and dust on the move. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Good to know — splash-proof, not submersible
IPX4 means the Armor A60 resists splashing water from any direction, but it is not rated for full immersion — for an even tougher 360-degree all-around bumper and larger capacities look at the Armor A66, which shares the same IPX4 rating. The USB port stays covered when not in use; the drive ships NTFS-formatted, so reformat to exFAT or HFS+ for full Mac compatibility.
Best For
✓Outdoor and field photography backups
✓Travel storage exposed to weather
✓Worksite and on-location data capture
✓Carrying large files between locations
✓Console game storage for PS4 and Xbox
✓Anyone who has dropped a drive before
Key Features
IPX4 water resistance
A sealed design resists splashing water from any direction, so light rain and spills are no longer a threat to your data on location.
Military-grade shockproof
Passes the MIL-STD-810G transit drop test, with an internal suspension system and ultra-rugged rubber casing that absorb hard knocks and drops.
Cable-carry convenience
The connection cable wraps around the rugged body, so it travels with the drive and the USB port stays protected when stored.
USB 3.2 Gen 1 speed
A 5 Gbps SuperSpeed USB interface (USB 3.0) keeps backups and transfers quick, and is fully USB-powered with no separate adapter.

Singular Expert Insight
The Armor A60 is the balanced rugged choice: it adds genuine IPX4 splash protection over the shock-only A30, without the higher price of the tougher A66. If you only ever use the drive indoors, the A30 saves money; if you need an even tougher 360-degree bumper and larger capacities, step up to the A66. For speed-critical work a portable SSD is faster, but among rugged portable hard drives the A60 offers the best protection-per-euro.
Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You need rugged 2TB storage that survives both drops and splashes, work outdoors or travel often, and want USB-powered simplicity with no adapter.
Skip it if
You need full submersion protection (no portable HDD offers this), SSD-level speed, or the smallest possible drive — this is a rugged mechanical 2.5-inch HDD.
Also consider
The Armor A66 for an even tougher 360-degree bumper, the A30 for a cheaper shock-only drive, or a portable SSD for speed.
