The Smart Keeper CSK-DL10 is the DVI Port Lock from Smart Keeper’s Basic series, in red: a lock that plugs into an unused DVI port and blocks it, so no cable, adapter or device can be connected there without first releasing it. It is fitted by hand, with no tools, software or power, and is removed only with the Smart Keeper Lock Key Basic, which is sold separately. In practice it closes a forgotten video output that could otherwise feed a screen-capture or recording device, and the red body shows at a glance that the port is controlled.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Key not included: Smart Keeper sells this lock without a key. You need the Smart Keeper Lock Key Basic to fit and remove it — the Lock Key Mini of the Mini series does not open Basic locks. It fits standard DVI ports; it is not for VGA, HDMI or DisplayPort, which have their own Smart Keeper locks. Smart Keeper does not publish the pack quantity on its site, so ask us how many locks you receive before planning a roll-out. Not sure about your port? Send us the device model and we check it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a key included?
No. Smart Keeper sells the DVI Port Lock without a key. You need the Smart Keeper Lock Key Basic to fit and remove it; order one with the lock if you do not have it.
Does it fit HDMI or DisplayPort?
No. It is made for DVI ports. Smart Keeper sells separate locks for HDMI, DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort — tell us the port and we point you to the right one.
Does the Mini key open it?
No. Smart Keeper’s Basic locks open with the Lock Key Basic, and the Mini series uses the Lock Key Mini. Keep the two keys apart.
Why lock a DVI port?
An unused video output can be used to connect a capture device or an extra screen in a public or sensitive area. Locking it keeps the port closed and shows that it is controlled.
