The Smart Keeper DL04P1GN is a pack of ten green DisplayPort Locks — locks only, without a key, from Smart Keeper’s Essential Mini series. Each lock is pushed into an unused DisplayPort port by hand, with no tools, software or power, and stays there until it is released with a Smart Keeper key of the matching colour. In practice it stops someone plugging a cable or device into that port, and a green lock in a port shows at a glance that it is controlled. It fits full-size DisplayPort outputs and inputs on desktops, graphics cards, monitors, docks and signage players. The pack contains no key, so you also need the green Lock Key Mini (U04) — we explain below. Because each colour has its own key pattern, a green key can be given to the people responsible for the green ports without opening locks of other colours, and the locks can be moved to another device with the key when needs change.
Compatibility — check before buying:
No key in this pack. Smart Keeper sells these locks without a key; they are released with the Lock Key Mini (U04). Keys and locks are colour-coded: Smart Keeper states a lock opens only with a key of the matching colour, so a green lock needs a green key. The Mini-series key is not compatible with Smart Keeper’s Basic series (USB-A and RJ45 port locks), so do not mix series. It fits full-size DisplayPort only. It does not fit Mini DisplayPort (the smaller port on many laptops, Surface devices and older Macs) — that is Smart Keeper’s separate MD04 lock — nor HDMI or USB-C with video. Not sure? Is a key included?
No. This pack contains ten green locks only. You need the green Lock Key Mini (U04), sold separately. Order it together with the locks if you do not have one.
Will a key of another colour open it?
No. Smart Keeper states that locks open only with a key of the matching colour, and that Mini-series keys do not work with the Basic series. Tell us which Smart Keeper locks you already use and we match them.
Will it fit Mini DisplayPort?
No. This is the lock for full-size DisplayPort. Mini DisplayPort needs the smaller Smart Keeper MD04 lock. The word Mini in the product name refers to the Essential Mini series, not to the port.
Is it a replacement for software port control?
No. It physically blocks the port, which stops casual use and makes controlled ports visible. For full control, combine it with device-control policies in your operating system.
