The Smart Keeper MSD04PKGN is a set of four green Micro SD Port Locks with the key that fits and releases them, from Smart Keeper’s Essential Mini series. Each lock is pushed into an unused microSD slot by hand, with no tools, software or power, and stays there until it is released with a Smart Keeper key of the matching colour. In practice it stops someone inserting or removing a memory card, so data cannot be copied off a device on a card, and a green lock in a slot shows at a glance that it is controlled. It fits microSD card slots on laptops, tablets, dashcams, cameras, drones and single-board computers. Because each colour has its own key pattern, a green key can be given to the people responsible for the green slots without opening locks of other colours, and the locks can be moved to another device with the key when needs change.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The key is in this set. Keys and locks are colour-coded: Smart Keeper states a lock opens only with a key of the matching colour, so a green lock needs a green key. The Mini-series key is not compatible with Smart Keeper’s Basic series (USB-A and RJ45 port locks), so do not mix series. It fits microSD card slots only — not full-size SD slots, which need Smart Keeper’s separate SD lock, and not SIM trays. Not sure? Send us the device model or a photo of the port and we check it.

Is the key included?
Yes. The set contains four green microSD locks and the key that fits and releases them. Keep the key with your IT kit; Smart Keeper does not name a separate spare key for this lock, so ask us if you need a second one.
Will a key of another colour open it?
No. Smart Keeper states that locks open only with a key of the matching colour, and that Mini-series keys do not work with the Basic series. Tell us which Smart Keeper locks you already use and we match them.
Does it fit a full-size SD card slot?
No. It is made for microSD slots. Full-size SD slots need Smart Keeper’s SD lock from the same Essential Mini series — send us the device model and we check which one fits.
Is it a replacement for software port control?
No. It physically blocks the slot, which stops casual use and makes controlled ports visible. For full control, combine it with device-control policies in your operating system.
