The Smart Keeper SD04PKGN is the SD Port Lock from Smart Keeper’s Essential Mini series: 4 green locks that slide into an unused full-size SD card slot, supplied with the key that releases them. Each lock is fitted by hand, with no tools, software or power, and can only be released with a Smart Keeper Lock Key Mini (U04) of the matching colour code. In practice it stops photos, documents and other files being copied onto or off an SD card in a shared or public computer, and stops unknown cards being inserted. No software, driver or power is needed.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Keys are colour-coded: Smart Keeper codes each lock colour to the key of the same colour, and the U04 key belongs to the Essential Mini series — the Basic U03 key does not open it. It fits full-size SD slots only — not microSD (Smart Keeper sells a separate microSD lock, MSD04) or CFexpress/XQD. Not sure it fits? Send us the device model and we check it.

Is the key included?
Yes. The key comes in the pack with the locks. Keep it with your IT kit — Smart Keeper sells the Lock Key Mini (U04) separately if you need a spare.
Does one key open every Smart Keeper lock?
No. Smart Keeper codes each colour to its own key, and the Essential Mini series uses the U04 key. The Basic U03 key does not open Mini-series locks. Tell us which Smart Keeper locks you already use and we match them.
Does it fit microSD slots?
No. SD04 is for full-size SD slots. For microSD slots Smart Keeper offers a separate microSD Port Lock (MSD04). Check the slot on your device before ordering.
Is it a replacement for software controls?
No. It physically stops casual plugging-in and makes controlled ports visible. For full protection, combine it with device-control policies in your operating system or endpoint software.
