Samsung Galaxy Watch7 40 mm — sapphire glass, dual-frequency GPS, 2,000 nits
1.3″ AMOLED, 2,000 nitsSapphire crystal5ATM + IP68 + MIL-STD-810HDual-frequency GPS
The SM-L300NZGAEUE is Samsung’s Galaxy Watch7 in the 40 mm size, Bluetooth, in green. It has a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display at 432 × 432 reaching 2,000 nits, under sapphire crystal; a five-core 3 nm Exynos W1000; 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage; and its own dual-frequency GPS. It runs Wear OS 5 with One UI 6 Watch, weighs 28.8 g without the band, and carries 5ATM, IP68 and MIL-STD-810H ratings.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Read this section before you buy — the health features are the reason most people choose this watch, and they are gated in ways Samsung does not put on the front of the box.
1. It is Android only. There is no iPhone support. Samsung publishes the requirement as Android 11 or higher with 2 GB of memory. Unlike the Galaxy Fit3, it does not have to be a Samsung phone — any Android 11+ handset will pair and run the watch.
2. But ECG, blood pressure and sleep apnea DO require a Samsung Galaxy phone. Those run through the Samsung Health Monitor app, and Samsung states plainly that the app is available only on Samsung Galaxy smartphones. On a Pixel or a Xiaomi the watch works; those three features do not. This is the single most over-claimed thing about the product.
3. ECG is available in Cyprus. Samsung’s own published country list for the ECG feature names both Cyprus and Greece. Note it is geo-locked: Samsung states the app works only on watches and phones purchased in countries where the service is currently available.
???? 4. Irregular heart rhythm notification (IHRN) is NOT available in our market. Samsung Greece states it outright. We will not list it as a feature.
5. Sleep apnea detection is CE marked for the EEA and requires you to be 22 or over, two nights of monitoring, a Samsung Galaxy phone on Android 12 or later and Wear OS 5 or later. Samsung does not publish a country-by-country list for it, so we cannot confirm Cyprus by name — ask us and we will check rather than guess.
6. Galaxy AI: Samsung’s published Galaxy AI language guide does not list Greek, and its own note that Galaxy AI features would be free until the end of 2025 has now expired with no replacement term published. We make no claim about Greek-language AI or about future pricing.

Best For
✓ Anyone on an Android phone who wants a full smartwatch rather than a tracker
✓ Running and cycling — dual-frequency GPS works without the phone
✓ Samsung Galaxy phone owners who want ECG and body composition
✓ A smaller wrist — 40 mm with the S/M band
Key Features
Sapphire crystal and 2,000 nits
Two things a fitness band does not give you. Sapphire is far harder to scratch than the usual glass, and 2,000 nits means the screen stays readable in direct Cyprus sunlight — which is where cheaper watches become guesswork.
Dual-frequency GPS, onboard
A real distinction from Samsung’s Fit trackers, which borrow the phone’s GPS. This watch has its own receiver covering GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo, and Samsung publishes it as dual-frequency — noticeably more accurate among buildings and trees. Leave the phone at home on a run.
Three durability ratings, not one
5ATM for water pressure (swimming), IP68 for dust and water ingress, and MIL-STD-810H for the usual environmental abuse. Samsung publishes all three for the Watch7. Its Fit3 tracker, for comparison, has no MIL-STD rating at all.
The BioActive sensor, and what it actually measures
Optical heart rate, an electrical heart sensor for ECG, bioelectrical impedance for body composition, infrared skin temperature, plus accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic and light sensors. The AGEs Index is derived from this sensor rather than being a separate one. Samsung’s own framing: fitness and wellness, not diagnosis.
Up to 40 hours — and the always-on cost is published
40 hours with the always-on display off, 30 hours with it on. That is a smartwatch figure rather than a tracker one: expect to charge it every day or two, not every fortnight. The coin-shaped wireless charger is in the box; a power adapter is not.

Singular Expert Insight
The gap between a Galaxy Watch and a fitness band is bigger than the price difference suggests, and it comes down to three things this watch has that the Fit3 does not: its own dual-frequency GPS, so you can run without the phone; sapphire glass at 2,000 nits, which matters in Cyprus sun; and the ECG and body-composition sensors. But that last one carries the caveat worth reading twice: ECG, blood pressure and sleep apnea all require a Samsung Galaxy phone, not just any Android. If you are on a Pixel, you are buying a very good watch without the headline health features. And irregular heart rhythm notification, which appears on plenty of listings, is not available in our market at all. Buy it for the GPS, the screen and the build; treat the health suite as conditional on the phone in your pocket. Browse our mobile phones if the phone is the next question, or mobile phone accessories for a charger to go with it.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You use an Android phone — ideally a Samsung Galaxy — and want a full smartwatch with onboard GPS, a sapphire screen and proper health sensors.
Skip it if
You use an iPhone (unsupported), you want a fortnight of battery rather than a day or two (that is the Fit3), or you are buying specifically for irregular heart rhythm notification, which is not available here.
Also consider
The 44 mm Galaxy Watch7 if you have a larger wrist, the LTE version (SM-L305F) if you want it to work without the phone, or the Galaxy Fit3 for a much longer battery at a fraction of the price.
