STAEDTLER Noris colour 185 Coloured Pencils, Hexagonal, Upcycled Wood, Break-Resistant Lead, Box of 18 Assorted Colours

The STAEDTLER Noris colour 185 C18 is a cardboard box of 18 hexagonal coloured pencils in assorted colours, made from upcycled wood and built for school, home and everyday colouring. It is the pack to choose when pencils get dropped, lent and sharpened constantly — STAEDTLER specifies a super-bonded lead with high break resistance.

The barrel has a soft, non-slip surface and the familiar Noris stripe design, and the special lead formulation gives brilliant, rich colours on standard drawing paper. The full Noris colour range runs to 36 shades, so single colours can be added later.

• 18 × Noris colour 185 coloured pencils, assorted colours
• Cardboard box

• Leads are bonded into the wood, so a dropped pencil is far less likely to break inside the barrel and waste length when sharpening.
• The hexagonal shape stops pencils rolling off desks and gives small hands a steady grip.
• Upcycled wood (made with wood chips from production) keeps the familiar feel of a classic wooden pencil.
• A box of 18 covers the basic palette plus several mid-tones for shading.

• Not watercolour pencils — the colours do not blend into washes with water (see the STAEDTLER 146 10C for that).
• No sharpener included; STAEDTLER recommends its 512 002 or 512 128 sharpeners.
• Not erasable like a graphite pencil; light pressure erases partially at best.
