STAEDTLER Noris digital mini EMR Stylus Pencil, 4,096 Pressure Levels, Soft Digital Eraser, Hexagonal, Compact

The STAEDTLER Noris digital mini (180M 22-1) is a short, battery-free EMR stylus in the classic hexagonal Noris pencil shape, with a 0.7 mm exchangeable nib, 4,096 pressure levels and a soft digital eraser — sized to travel with a tablet, an e-ink notebook or a Galaxy Note-type phone where a full-length pen is awkward to carry.

Like the other Noris digital pens it uses Wacom EMR technology: the screen powers the pen, so there is nothing to charge, pair or install. You get the same writing, drawing and erasing functions as the full-size models in a format that slips into a jacket pocket, a pen loop or a small sleeve.

• 1 × Noris digital mini EMR stylus pencil (180M 22-1)
• Cardboard retail box
• Replacement nibs are not listed in the box for this model — spare-nib packs (18022 SN, 5 nibs + tool) are sold separately

• Small enough to carry everywhere with your device, and with no battery it is always ready when you pull it out.
• The hexagonal body does not roll off a desk or a tilted tablet the way a round pen does.
• Pressure, palm rejection and the eraser work in apps that support them, such as Samsung Notes and the reMarkable or BOOX note apps.
• A shorter pen suits quick notes, signatures and annotations; for long drawing or writing sessions most people find the longer Noris digital or the jumbo more comfortable.

• Apple iPad, iPhone and Google Pixelbook — STAEDTLER states they use a different display technology; for iPad you need an Apple Pencil or an iPad-specific stylus.
• Screens that are touch-only (capacitive) with no EMR digitizer — the pen will not register at all. Some laptop and tablet models are sold with and without EMR, so check the exact model number.
• Devices that use other active-pen systems such as Microsoft Pen Protocol (Surface Pro 3 and later) or Wacom AES — only Surface Pro 1 and Pro 2 are on STAEDTLER's list.
• reMarkable Paper Pro, reMarkable Move, Kobo e-readers and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold are not on the current compatibility list.
• It has no side button, so S Pen Air Actions, button shortcuts and Bluetooth remote functions are not available.
