The Star IFBD-HE07 (Star code 39607804) is the Ethernet interface board for Star printers with an exchangeable interface, including the TSP800II wide-format receipt printer, TSP700II, TSP650II and the TUP500 kiosk printer. It replaces the printer’s current interface card (for example serial or parallel) and turns it into a 10/100 network printer with an RJ45 port.
It is the standard way to move an existing Star printer from a local cable to the network, so several POS terminals, kitchen screens or a server can print to it.
Before you order: The IFBD-HE07 fits Star models with a removable interface board only. Fixed-interface printers such as the TSP100 series cannot take it, and the TSP1000, SP700, SP500 and HSP7000 use the sister card IFBD-HE08. Some printers need a minimum firmware version — send us the model and we will check.

What It Means in Practice
- The board takes power from the printer (5 V, max. 500 mA) — no extra adapter.
- After installing, power the printer on while holding FEED to print a self-test with the network settings, then set the IP by DHCP/BOOTP, static address or ARP/Ping.
- Printing works over LPR (port 515) and raw TCP port 9100, with status on port 9101; up to 8 sessions are possible with multi-session enabled.
- Setup is done in a browser (HTTP, HTTPS from firmware 4.0.0) or via Telnet/FTP; holding the board’s push switch restores the default network settings.
What Will Not Work
- No USB port and no Wi-Fi on this board.
- IPv4 only — no IPv6.
- Not for TSP100, mC-Print or other fixed-interface Star printers.
- Not for TSP1000, SP700, SP500 or HSP7000 — use IFBD-HE08.
