StarTech.com Active HDMI 2.0 Cable 10 m — 4K 60 Hz with Gripping Connectors

HDMI 2.0 · 18 Gbps10 m active4K60 · HDR10Gripping connectors

The StarTech.com HDMI2-CABLE-GRIP-10M is a 10 m active HDMI 2.0 cable that delivers 4K at 60 Hz, 1440p at 144 Hz or 1080p at 240 Hz with HDR10 from a PC, media player or console to a TV, projector or display. Built-in active circuitry keeps the 18 Gbps signal stable over a length where passive HDMI cables often drop out.

Gripping connectors hold the plugs firmly in the port so the cable does not work loose in installations, and the 24 AWG conductors, aluminium foil plus braid shielding and a flexible TPE jacket are rated for 10,000 insertions and 2,000 bends. ARC, the HDMI Ethernet Channel, CEC and HDCP 2.2 are supported.

Compatibility note: Active HDMI cables are directional: connect the end marked for the source to the PC or player and the other end to the display. The cable is powered by the source port.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do the gripping connectors on the StarTech.com HDMI2-CABLE-GRIP-10M do?
They have extra grip against the HDMI port so the heavy, long cable does not slide out under its own weight — useful behind wall-mounted TVs, on projectors and in AV racks where a loose plug means a blank screen.
Is the HDMI2-CABLE-GRIP-10M suitable for a high-refresh gaming monitor?
Yes, within HDMI 2.0 limits: it carries 1440p at 144 Hz and 1080p at 240 Hz as well as 4K at 60 Hz.
Singular Expert Insight
The HDMI2-CABLE-GRIP-10M is a professional-grade 4K60 cable for installers: active signal boost for the length, gripping plugs that stay put and a StarTech.com lifetime warranty. It costs more than a basic active cable, which pays off in fixed installs where re-pulling a cable is expensive.
✓ Buy it if you need a secure, reliable 10 m HDMI 2.0 run for a projector, wall-mounted TV or rack-mounted source.
✕ Skip it if you need HDMI 2.1 (4K120, 8K, eARC) — choose an HDMI 2.1 fibre cable instead.
→ Also consider StarTech.com HDMI2-CABLE-GRIP-35F (10.6 m version) or Lindy 41071 (10 m active HDMI 18G).
