The StarTech.com USB-C Charging Cable, product ID USB2CC2MNCWHE, is a 2 m (6.6 ft) white USB-C to USB-C lead for charging and syncing. It carries 60 W (3 A) USB Power Delivery 2.0, which covers phones, tablets, portable peripherals and the majority of USB-C laptops that ship with a 45 W or 65 W-class charger. At 3.5 mm outside diameter it is a genuinely slim, light cable, with a halogen-free RoHS-compliant TPE jacket, an aluminium braided shield for EMI protection, 24/30 AWG conductors and robust strain reliefs with an 8 mm bend radius. Compatibility — check before buying:
Two deliberate limits, and both are stated plainly by StarTech.com. First, USB-C video (DisplayPort Alt Mode) is not supported — this cable will not drive a monitor, dock a laptop to a display, or carry Thunderbolt. For that you need a full-featured USB-C or Thunderbolt cable, and using the wrong one is the most common reason a USB-C monitor stays black. Second, data is USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps, which syncs a phone and moves documents but is not the cable for an external SSD. Power is 60 W maximum (3 A) with no E-Marker for higher currents, so a laptop rated at 87 W or 100 W will charge slowly, and a 240 W EPR device will not reach its rated rate.
