The StarTech.com RKCASTER2 is a set of four heavy-duty swivel casters with 50 mm wheels that turn a floor-standing 4-post server, network or A/V rack into one you can move. Each caster can take up to 250 kg stationary or 75 kg while rolling, according to StarTech.com.
The casters use a 45 x 75 mm bolt pattern and M6 hardware, and StarTech.com lists them for its RK1833BKM, RK2433BKM and RK4242BK24 racks as well as any other rack with the same bolt pattern. They are made of cold-rolled steel and plastic in black and silver.
Before you order: Check the bolt pattern on the base of your rack before ordering. These casters need a 45 x 75 mm hole pattern for M6 bolts. If your rack uses a different pattern, send us the model and we will find a matching kit.

- Rolling capacity is the figure that matters when you move the rack: 75 kg per caster, so about 300 kg for four casters in motion.
- Stationary capacity is much higher at 250 kg per caster, but a rack on wheels should be secured or placed on levelling feet if it stays in one place.
- 50 mm wheels suit smooth floors in offices and server rooms.

What Will Not Work
- StarTech.com does not list a brake or lock on these casters, so the rack can roll unless you fit feet or chocks.
- They will not bolt to racks without a 45 x 75 mm pattern.

- Small 50 mm wheels are not made for rough floors, thresholds or outdoor use.
