The StarTech.com 309B-USBC-HUB is a compact 4-port USB-C hub that turns one USB-C port into three dedicated USB-C 10Gbps data ports plus one dual-role USB-C port for either 10Gbps data or up to 100W USB Power Delivery pass-through. It is designed for laptops, tablets and desktops whose peripherals have moved to USB-C: SSDs, webcams, audio interfaces, capture devices and phones.
The hub is plug-and-play with no drivers, weighs 43 g and has an 8-inch (20 cm) braided cable. Its housing is made from 90% post-consumer recycled aluminium and 75% PCR plastic.
Compatibility note: This is a data hub only — it has no video output, Ethernet or USB-A ports. When a charger is connected to the dual-role port, laptop charging is limited to about 85W and that port is no longer available for data.
