The StarTech.com ST4300USB3V2-UE is a self-powered 4-port USB-A hub running at USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps), with a removable 1 m USB-C host cable and a USB-C to USB-A adapter, so it connects to a new USB-C laptop or an older USB-A computer. A 24 W power adapter with UK and EU clips is included, so all four ports get full power: three ports supply 4.5 W and one BC 1.2 port charges a phone or accessory at up to 7.5 W. In practice it adds reliable USB-A ports for drives, keyboards, mice, webcams and dongles to a MacBook or Windows laptop.

Compatibility — check before buying:
A data hub, not a fast charger. The 24 W adapter powers the ports, but the fastest port charges at 7.5 W (BC 1.2), so phones charge slowly and laptops do not charge through it — this hub has no USB-C power pass-through. All four ports are USB-A; there are no USB-C downstream ports and no video. StarTech.com does not publish whether it works on bus power without the adapter. Will it charge my laptop?
No. It has no USB-C power pass-through, so keep your laptop charger connected separately. The adapter only powers the hub’s USB-A ports.
Does the power plug fit Cyprus sockets?
Yes. The universal adapter comes with UK and EU plug clips; use the UK clip in Cyprus.
Can I use it on a USB-A computer?
Yes. The host cable is USB-C, and a USB-C to USB-A adapter is included for older computers.
Can I connect a monitor through it?
