The StarTech BRACKETFDBK is a front bay mounting bracket designed to install a 3.5-inch floppy drive, media card reader or other compatible 3.5-inch front-bay peripheral into an available 5.25-inch bay of a desktop PC. It is useful for legacy systems, workstation builds and cases where a smaller front-access device needs to be fitted into a larger external bay.
Compatibility Note: Please confirm your desktop case has an available 5.25-inch external front bay and that your 3.5-inch device, such as a floppy drive or card reader, is compatible with this front-bay mounting format.
Key Features
3.5-inch Device in a 5.25-inch Bay
Lets you install a compatible 3.5-inch front-bay device into a larger 5.25-inch desktop bay, making better use of available case space.
Ideal for Front-Access Peripherals
Suitable for legacy floppy drives, media card readers, front-facing USB hubs, fan controllers and other compatible 3.5-inch front-bay devices.
Clean Black Front Finish
The black front bezel helps the adapter blend into many standard black desktop PC cases and workstation chassis.

Singular Expert Insight
Choose the StarTech BRACKETFDBK if you need to fit a front-access 3.5-inch device into a 5.25-inch desktop bay. If your goal is to mount an internal 3.5-inch hard drive, the standard StarTech BRACKET is the more suitable product.
