The StarTech SATSASDUPE11 is a 1:1 standalone hard drive duplicator and eraser that clones or securely wipes both SATA and SAS 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch hard drives and SSDs, with no computer required. Identified by part number SATSASDUPE11, it copies drives at up to 13 GB per minute using four duplication modes, and can securely erase up to two drives with seven erase modes including NIST SP 800-88 Rev1 Purge and DoD overwrite. Compatibility note
Works with 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA (I/II/III, up to 6 Gbps) and SAS (1/2) HDDs and SSDs, connected via the drive bays (this is a standalone appliance, not a USB dock). For cloning the target must be the same size or larger than the source. Secure erasing permanently destroys data — confirm the correct drive and backups first.
