StarTech.com 1U 19-Inch Rack Cable Management Panel — 5 Removable D-Ring Hooks
1U5 D-ring hooksHorizontal or vertical2-post and 4-post racks
The StarTech.com CABLMANAGER2 is a 1U 19-inch metal cable management panel with five removable D-ring hooks, 3 inches (about 76 mm) tall, for routing patch and power cables horizontally or vertically in standard 2-post and 4-post racks, cabinets and wiring closets.
Mounted between a patch panel and a switch, the D-rings collect the patch cords and lead them to the side of the rack, keeping ports visible and cables off the equipment faces. The two end hooks rotate by 90 degrees, so cables can also be routed vertically at the rack edges. The steel panel also closes the 1U gap it occupies, which StarTech notes helps airflow.
Before you order: The panel mounts on the front of any standard 19-inch 2-post or 4-post rack. StarTech lists only the panel and an instruction sheet in the package, so rack screws and cage nuts for your rails are not included.
What's in the Box
- 1 x 1U metal cable management panel with 5 D-ring hooks
- 1 x instruction sheet
What It Means in Practice
- Five D-rings spaced about 4 inches (102 mm) apart cover the full width of a 24-port patch panel.
- Rotating end hooks route cables vertically along the rack sides.
- Removable hooks: take out the ones you do not need.
- Closes a 1U gap in the front of the rack.
What Will Not Work
- Installation without rack hardware: screws and cage nuts are not in the package.
- Rear mounting: StarTech specifies front mounting.
- Heavy cable bundles beyond what 3-inch D-rings can hold — for dense installations use 2U cable managers.
- Brush-style pass-through to the rear of the cabinet.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
One cable manager per patch panel is the simplest rule for a rack that stays readable. The rotating end hooks make this StarTech panel useful at the rack edges as well. Pair it with blanking panels and shelves from our 19-inch rack accessories range.
✓ Buy it if you want tidy horizontal patching in a 19-inch rack and the option to route cables vertically at the edges.
✕ Skip it if you need high-capacity cable management for very dense switches, or rear mounting.
→ Also consider Rittal 1U cable management panels with steel rings in grey or black.
