Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a USB 2.0 cable, so the ceiling is 480 Mbps — it will not deliver USB 3.0 speeds even if the Micro-B device supports them. Note the connector distinction: this is the 5-pin Micro-B plug, not the wider 10-pin Micro-B SuperSpeed connector used on many USB 3.0 portable hard drives, and the two are not interchangeable.
