StarTech.com 4U Hinged Wall Mount Bracket for 19" Patch Panels, 15 kg
4U · 19"Hinged swing-out15 kgMax 148 mm deep
The StarTech.com WALLMOUNTH4 is a 4U hinged wall-mount bracket for 19-inch patch panels and shallow network equipment, with a maximum mounting depth of 148 mm (about 6") and a 15 kg load rating — the bracket swings away from the wall so you can reach the rear of the panel for punch-downs and cabling.
It is made of black cold-rolled steel with square-hole L-shaped rails (EIA/ECA-310-E), and the wall holes are 16" (406 mm) apart to match standard stud spacing. StarTech.com includes M6 screws and cage nuts for the equipment plus wall screws and plastic anchors.
Before you order: Only shallow devices fit: the maximum mounting depth is 148 mm. That covers patch panels and many compact switches, but not typical 1U servers, NAS units or deep switches. Check your device depth before ordering.
What's in the Box
- 1 × 4U hinged wall-mount bracket
- 4 × M6 screws
- 4 × M6 cage nuts
- 4 × plastic washers
- 4 × wall screws
- 4 × plastic anchors
What It Means in Practice
- Mount patch panels and small switches on a wall where there is no room for a cabinet.
- The hinge lets you swing the equipment out to reach punch-down blocks and rear cables, then fold it back.
- 4U gives space for, for example, two patch panels and a compact switch with cable management.
- Wall screws and anchors are in the box for a quick installation.
What Will Not Work
- It will not hold equipment deeper than 148 mm.
- It will not carry more than 15 kg.
- It is an open bracket, not a lockable cabinet — equipment is exposed.
- It will not support loads on drywall without suitable anchors for that wall.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Hinged brackets solve the classic small-office problem: a patch panel on the wall that you cannot punch down from behind. Measure the depth of every device first — 148 mm is the hard limit. If you need more depth or a lockable enclosure, see our rack accessories and wall cabinets.
✓ Buy it if you need to wall-mount patch panels or shallow network gear with easy rear access.
✕ Skip it if your equipment is deeper than 148 mm, heavier than 15 kg, or needs to be locked away.
→ Also consider StarTech.com RK119WALLV for mounting a single 1U device vertically on the wall.
Tell us the devices you want to mount and we will check depth and weight before you order.
