The StarTech.com HB31C2A2CME is the industrial 10 Gbps hub for a bench where half the devices are already USB-C: two USB-C and two USB-A screw-lock ports in a metal case, a 36 W adapter with five regional cords, a 7–24 V terminal block, and locking host cables for both USB-C and USB-A computers. It is the USB-C-heavy twin of the HB31C3A1CME.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The two downstream USB-C ports are data and 5 V charging only — no Power Delivery, no DP Alt Mode, no laptop charging or monitors. StarTech quotes BC 1.2 charging with 30 W available in total while its spec table lists 4.5 W per port, so treat charging as a shared 30 W. The case has surface-mount ears but no DIN-rail bracket. StarTech publishes ESD figures but no surge wattage for this model.
