The StarTech.com HDDVIMM5M is a 5 m cable with an HDMI Type A male plug on one end and a DVI-D single-link (18+1) male plug on the other, linking HDMI and DVI devices at up to 1920 x 1200. Because both carry the same digital TMDS video signal, it works either way: an HDMI laptop to a DVI monitor, or a DVI graphics card to an HDMI TV or projector.
Compatibility Note: DVI-D carries video only, so audio is not transferred over this cable. Single-link DVI limits resolution to 1920 x 1200, and the plug does not fit DVI-A (analogue) ports.
