StarTech.com ST93007U2C — 7-Port USB 3.0 Hub with Two 2.4A Charging Ports
7 data ports at 5 Gbps2 charge-only ports, 2.4 A each48 W adapter includedCharges without a PC
The StarTech.com ST93007U2C is a nine-socket desktop hub: seven USB 3.0 ports for your devices and two separate 2.4 A charging ports that top up a phone or tablet whether the computer is on or not, built for a desk where one USB port has to serve a keyboard, receiver, printer, drive, webcam and two phones. It ships with a 48 W power adapter and a 1 m host cable.
Compatibility — check before buying:
All nine sockets are USB-A; there is no USB-C port anywhere on the hub, no video and no laptop charging. The two charging ports are power only, so a drive plugged into them will not appear on the computer. The hub must be connected to its power adapter to work. StarTech lists the 1 m host cable but not the connector type on the hub end, so keep the supplied cable.
Best For
✓ Office PCs with too few USB ports
✓ Charging two phones on the desk without a separate charger
✓ Printers, scanners and receivers on one hub
✓ External drives that need a powered hub
✓ Reception and shared workstations
✓ Keeping a tablet charged beside the monitor
Key Features
Seven ports, full USB 3.0 speed
Each data port runs at 5 Gbps with 4.5 W of power, backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices; a VIA VL812 controller handles the switching.
Two dedicated chargers
The 7.5 W charging ports follow BC 1.2 and charge at up to 2.4 A each, even with the computer switched off or unplugged.
Powered by design
The included 12 V / 4 A adapter with EU, UK, NA and AU plugs keeps bus-hungry drives and webcams stable where an unpowered hub would drop them.

Singular Expert Insight
For a desk with a lot of USB-A peripherals and a couple of phones, this hub avoids the second charger on the power strip; the 2.4 A charge ports are the difference from the plain seven-port ST7300U3M. If you also want per-port on/off switches, StarTech’s 5G7AIBS-USB-HUB-EU does that at 7.5 W on every port. Browse our USB hubs for the powered and USB-C options, and our USB flash drives if the hub is going to serve a lot of storage. Not sure your computer, monitor or cable fits? Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You need seven powered USB-A ports for a desktop and want two phones charging at 2.4 A from the same box, with the adapter in the box.
Skip it if
You need USB-C ports, video output or laptop charging, or want to run the hub from the computer alone without an adapter.
Also consider
ST7300U3M (metal, seven ports, no charge ports) if you never charge phones at the desk; a USB-C hub if the host is a modern laptop.
