StarTech.com Wedge Slot Laptop Cable Lock · 4-Digit Combination · 2 m

The StarTech.com LTLOCKNBL is a keyless combination cable lock made for laptops with a Noble Wedge security slot, the wedge-shaped slot used on most current Dell XPS, Latitude, Precision, Inspiron, G-series and Chromebook models. It suits offices, schools and shared workspaces that run Dell fleets and want a theft deterrent without managing keys.
The lock uses a resettable four-digit code (10,000 combinations) on a 2 m, 4.4 mm vinyl-coated steel cable tested to 350 lb of pulling force. A swivel hinge rotates 360 degrees and pivots 90 degrees so the cable can leave the laptop at any angle.
Before you order: Wedge slot only. Laptops with a standard Kensington K-slot or a Nano slot need a different lock; for mixed fleets, see the StarTech.com LTULOCK4D universal lock.
What's in the Box
- 1 x wedge slot combination cable lock, 2 m
- 1 x hook-and-loop strap
- 1 x quick-start guide
What It Means in Practice
- Set your own four-digit code; no keys to lose or hand back.
- The flush-aligned tip lets thin laptops such as the Dell XPS lie flat on the desk with the lock fitted.
- Bumper spacers protect the laptop finish from scratches.
- For desks without a leg or fixed point to loop around, StarTech.com sells cable anchors (LTANCHOR/LTANCHORL) separately.
What Will Not Work
- Laptops with a standard K-slot (most HP, Lenovo, Acer, Asus).
- Laptops with a Nano slot.
- Devices with no security slot, such as MacBooks.
- Protection against determined theft with heavy cutting tools: cable locks are a deterrent.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Wedge, Nano and standard slots look similar but are not interchangeable, so a lock bought for an HP will not fit a Dell. For Dell-only fleets this dedicated wedge lock is the cleanest fit. If your laptops dock at the desk, see our docking stations.
✓ Buy it if you have Dell or other wedge-slot laptops and want a keyless lock.
✕ Skip it if your laptops have a standard K-slot or Nano slot.
→ Also consider StarTech.com LTULOCK4D universal 3-in-1 combination lock for mixed fleets.
