StarTech.com LTLOCK3DCOIL — Self-Coiling Combination Laptop Lock
K-Slot3-digit code1.8 m coiledNo key
The StarTech.com LTLOCK3DCOIL is a portable laptop cable lock with a 3-digit resettable combination and a self-coiling steel cable that stretches to 1.8 m and pulls back to 266 mm. It fits the Kensington Standard Slot (K-Slot) found on many laptops, monitors, docks and desktops, and weighs 79 g, so it travels in a laptop bag. In practice it stops a laptop being picked up and carried away from a desk, a hotel room, a classroom or a trade-show stand while you step away — with no key to lose or forget.
Compatibility — check before buying:
It fits the Kensington Standard Slot (K-Slot) only. It will not fit the smaller Kensington Nano Slot or the Wedge slot used on many recent Dell laptops, and many ultrabooks and MacBooks have no lock slot at all — check the side of your device for the small rectangular K-Slot (about 3 × 7 mm) before ordering. You also need a fixed object to loop the cable around, such as a desk leg; no anchor plate is included. Not sure? Send us the laptop model and we check it.
Best For
✓ Laptops on hot desks and in hotels

Singular Expert Insight
We suggest the LTLOCK3DCOIL for people who move around: the coiled cable packs small and the combination means no key to forget in a hotel or conference room. For fixed desks with many users, a keyed lock with a master key may suit IT better. Check the slot first. See our security products or docking stations, many of which carry a K-Slot too.
