Does the far end have to be Dell?
No. Any 1000BASE-SX module on multimode fibre links to it; the coding only matters to the switch it plugs into.
Are fibre patch cords included?
No. You get 1 module. The patch cord for the LC duplex connector, a matching module for the far end of the link and a fibre cleaning tool are bought separately. Tell us the distance and the fibre type and we quote the right cord.
