The StarTech SATDUP11 is a 1:1 standalone hard drive duplicator and eraser that clones or securely wipes 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA hard drives and SSDs with no computer required. Identified by part number SATDUP11, it copies one drive to another at up to 14 GB per minute using three duplication modes, and can securely erase up to two drives at once with four wipe modes including DoD and NIST SP 800-88 standards. Compatibility note
Works with 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA (SATA I/II/III) HDDs and SSDs of any capacity, connected via the included SATA cables (this is a standalone duplicator/eraser appliance, not a USB dock). For cloning, the target drive must be the same size or larger than the source. Secure erasing permanently and irreversibly destroys data — confirm the correct drive and backups first. It is SATA-only (not IDE/PATA) and OS-independent.
