The Supermicro CSE-PT26L-B is a tower-to-rack conversion kit for Supermicro SC743 and SC745 tower chassis: ball-bearing rails plus chassis handles that turn the tower into a 4U rack-mounted server in a standard 4-post rack.
Supermicro designs the kit for chassis 16.7 inches wide and 26 inches deep, with an outer rail that extends from 26 to 35.9 inches to suit common rack depths. It is listed as the optional rack-mount rail for systems built on the SC743, such as the SuperServer 7047A series, so a server bought as a tower can move into the rack later without changing the chassis.
Before you order: Supermicro lists the CSE-743 and CSE-745 chassis for this kit. To convert, the top cover and the four feet of the tower are removed. A 4-post rack is required; 2-post racks and wall cabinets are not suitable.
