48 Gigabit access ports with stackable 10G connectivity
48 × Gigabit RJ454 × 10G SFP+Physical stackingNon-PoE model
The D-Link DGS-1530-52/E is a stackable smart managed switch combining 48 Gigabit copper access ports with four 10G SFP+ interfaces. Its 176 Gbps switching capacity, VLAN controls, security features and supported static routing suit a professionally configured business network. This is the non-PoE DGS-1530-52 model; the /E ordering suffix is retained for regional identification.
Best For: Office, campus and rack installations needing many wired Gigabit connections with managed 10G uplinks and expansion options.
Before you order: The 48 copper ports provide data, not PoE power. Select compatible optics or DACs separately. Physical stacking and uplinks share the SFP+ interfaces, so plan port allocation and firmware compatibility. Redundant power requires the optional compatible DPS-500A supply and connection hardware. Allow ventilation and fan noise in the rack plan.
What's in the Box
- DGS-1530-52/E switch. Rack-mount brackets are included according to the European datasheet.
- Optical modules, fiber/DACs, stacking cables and optional redundant power equipment are separate.
- Confirm any additional regional package accessories before installation.
What It Means in Practice
- Connect up to 48 copper Ethernet devices at supported 10/100/1000 Mbps speeds.
- Use four SFP+ cages for suitable 10G uplinks or supported stacking connections; allocate them for the intended topology.
- Configure VLANs, link aggregation, spanning tree and access controls to fit the network.
- Use supported static IPv4/IPv6 and inter-VLAN routing within the documented table limits.
What Will Not Work
- No PoE output: choose the different 52P model when device power is required.
- Four SFP+ cages do not include transceivers or stack cables.
- Optional redundant power is not built into the supplied package as a second PSU.
- A stacking connection consumes suitable SFP+ interface capacity; it is not a separate free uplink.
- Two smart fans mean the switch is not fanless.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the PoE version?
No. DGS-1530-52/E is the non-PoE model. The 52P is a different product.
Are optics supplied?
No included optical modules or stack cables are established. Choose compatible components separately.
Can I stack it?
The series supports physical stacking of up to nine compatible switches. Verify firmware, topology and suitable SFP+ cabling.
Is redundant power included?
No. The compatible DPS-500A is an optional separate supply.
Is it suitable for a silent desk?
It uses two smart fans. The datasheet lists 54.7 dBA, so assess the installation location.
Singular Expert Insight
Separate the access-port count from the uplink and stacking plan. This model gives many data-only Gigabit connections, while its four SFP+ interfaces must cover the chosen uplinks and stack topology. Add suitable optics, power resilience and rack cooling to the deployment design.
Buyer’s Guide
✓ Buy it if You need dense managed Gigabit access, 10G uplinks and supported stacking without PoE.
✕ Skip it if You need powered Ethernet ports, fanless operation or a complete included redundant-power system.
→ Also consider SFP+ allocation, compatible optics and stacking cables, firmware, optional RPS and rack ventilation.
