Targus AWE810GL Portable Ergonomic Laptop/Tablet Stand — raise the screen anywhere, fold it flat after
Portable stand10"–15.6" devices6 heightsFolds flat + pouch
The Targus AWE810GL Portable Ergonomic Laptop/Tablet Stand is a silver aluminium stand with six height settings for most 10–15.6-inch laptops and tablets, designed for hybrid workers who want a better screen position at the office, at home and on the road.
It folds flat and comes with a carrying pouch, so it travels in the laptop bag; open, it lifts the screen closer to eye level and tilts the keyboard deck, which is the setup Targus recommends together with an external keyboard and mouse.
Before you order: Targus rates the AWE810GL for most devices from 10 to 15.6 inches and does not publish a maximum load. For 16-inch and heavier workstation laptops choose a stand with a published load rating.
What's in the Box
- 1 x Targus AWE810GL portable laptop/tablet stand (silver)
- 1 x Grey carrying pouch
What It Means in Practice
- Raises the screen so you look less downwards — best combined with an external keyboard and mouse.
- Six height positions let you match different chairs, desks and hotel tables.
- Folds flat for the laptop bag; the pouch stops it scratching the laptop lid.
- Open aluminium design keeps the underside of the laptop exposed to air.
What Will Not Work
- Devices larger than 15.6 inches are outside Targus’ stated range.
- No maximum load is published — avoid heavy 16–17-inch gaming or workstation laptops.
- Typing directly on a laptop raised to the higher settings is uncomfortable; plan on an external keyboard.
- It is not a vertical (closed-lid) stand or a docking station — it adds no ports.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The AWE810GL is a travel-first stand: it gives you a proper screen height in a hotel or hot desk and disappears into the bag afterwards. At a permanent desk, pair a stand like this with a docking station, external keyboard and mouse for a one-cable setup.
✓ Buy it if you move between home, office and travel with a 10–15.6-inch laptop and want an adjustable stand that folds flat.
✕ Skip it if you have a heavy 16–17-inch laptop or need a published load rating.
→ Also consider a vertical stand if your laptop stays closed beside an external monitor.
