Targus USB4 Dual Video Mobile Dock with 140W EPR Pass-Thru
USB4 hostDual 4K60 / 8K140W pass-throughNo drivers
The Targus DOCK429GL is a compact USB4 mobile dock in silver: from one USB4, Thunderbolt 3/4 or DP Alt Mode USB-C port it adds two HDMI 2.0 outputs for two 4K 60Hz monitors, or one screen up to 8K through its video-capable USB-C port, plus 10 Gbps USB-C and USB-A ports and Gigabit Ethernet. It has no power adapter of its own: your laptop charger plugs into the dock and passes up to 140W through to the laptop under USB PD 3.1 EPR. It uses native video with no DisplayLink drivers and is made with up to 75% recycled aluminium and plastic. In practice it is a travel-size dock for a USB4 laptop that turns a hotel desk or hot desk into a two-screen workstation with one cable.
Compatibility — check before buying:
No power adapter in the box: this is a pass-through dock — you plug your laptop’s own USB-C charger into the dock’s power port and it passes up to 140W on to the laptop (140W needs a USB PD 3.1 EPR laptop and charger; otherwise up to 100W). Two extended screens need MST. Targus states dual extended video is available for MST devices only; non-MST devices such as a Mac or iPad mirror the same image on both screens. The host port must be USB4, Thunderbolt 3/4 or USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode. It is not a DisplayLink dock and needs no drivers. No audio jack and no card reader. Send us the laptop model and we confirm.

Singular Expert Insight
We suggest the DOCK429GL for USB4 laptops that move between desks: one cable for two 4K screens, network and charging, with nothing to install. If your laptop has plain USB-C 10 Gbps, the DOCK427GL is the simpler match; for three screens on Thunderbolt 5, the DOCK230EUZ. See our docking stations and laptop power supplies.
