TEAMGROUP C145 TC14538GR01 — 8 GB USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive, Red

8 GB capacityUSB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-AUp to 75 MB/s readLimited lifetime warranty

The TEAMGROUP C145 TC14538GR01 is an 8 GB USB 3.2 Gen 1 flash drive in red, with a sliding capless body only 9.5 mm thin and 10 g in weight. It is the entry size of the C145 range, and TEAMGROUP publishes a read speed of 75 MB/s for this capacity — about four times what a USB 2.0 stick of the same price manages when you open photos or copy a folder off it. TEAMGROUP does not publish a write speed for any C145 size, so we do not quote one; expect USB 3.x-class writing that is fast for documents and photos and adequate for the occasional video. The EAN is 0765441016262. If you need to know whether 8 GB is enough for what you carry, tell us and we will size it with you.

Compatibility — check before buying:
The plug is USB Type-A. It works at full speed in a USB 3.x port (blue or marked SS) and still works in any USB 2.0 port at USB 2.0 speed. It does NOT fit a phone or a USB-C-only laptop without a USB-C to USB-A adapter. Watch the model code: the TEAMGROUP C141 has the identical body, the identical red 8 GB colour and a near-identical code (TC1418GR01), but it is USB 2.0 — make sure the pack says C145 or USB 3.2 Gen1. Every C145 size has its own colour (8 GB red, 16 GB blue, 32 GB yellow, 64 GB green, 128 GB yellow), so the colour also tells you the capacity.

Best For

✓ Fast copies of documents and photo folders
✓ A small drive for driver, BIOS and recovery files
✓ Students moving coursework between home and library PCs
✓ Printing from USB on office machines
✓ Keyring carry — nothing to unscrew, no cap to lose
✓ Anyone who wants USB 3 speed at the smallest capacity

Key Features

USB 3.2 Gen 1 at 8 GB
TEAMGROUP publishes 75 MB/s read for the 8 GB and 16 GB C145; the 64 GB and 128 GB step up to 100 MB/s. Even the small one reads several times faster than a USB 2.0 stick.

Slide, no cap
The plug slides out of the 9.5 mm body and back in. TEAMGROUP rates the slider for more than 10,000 cycles, and there is no cap to lose in a bag or drawer.

Plug and play, lifetime cover
No software, no driver: TEAMGROUP lists Windows XP or later, macOS and Linux 2.6 or later. Hot-swap and a power-saving mode are supported, and the drive carries TEAMGROUP’s limited lifetime warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the 8 GB C145 as fast as the bigger sizes?
For reading, the 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB share the 75 MB/s figure; the 64 GB and 128 GB publish 100 MB/s. TEAMGROUP publishes no write speed for any size, so we cannot compare writing.
What is the difference between the C145 and the C141?
Same body, same size, same colours — but the C141 is USB 2.0 and the C145 is USB 3.2 Gen 1. Only the interface and the model code differ, so check the code before you buy.
Will it work in my USB 2.0 laptop?
Yes, at USB 2.0 speed. When you later plug it into a USB 3 port you get the full 75 MB/s read.
Singular Expert Insight

The C145 makes sense when you want USB 3 reading speed without paying for capacity you will not use. The red 8 GB TC14538GR01 is exactly that; if 8 GB feels tight, the blue 16 GB TC145316GL01 is the same drive one step up, and the green 64 GB TC145364GG01 adds the 100 MB/s read. Do not pick it for heavy writing without asking us — TEAMGROUP publishes no write figure, so we would rather point you to a drive that does.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if

You want a small, cheap USB 3.2 Gen 1 stick that reads at 75 MB/s, slides open without a cap and comes with a lifetime warranty.

Skip it if

You need a published write speed for large video transfers, or your devices are USB-C only. Also skip the look-alike C141 unless you specifically want USB 2.0.

Also consider

The C145 16 GB (blue, TC145316GL01) for double the room at the same read speed, or the C145 64 GB (green) for 100 MB/s read.
