Techly USB-C 3.2 to RJ45 — plug-and-play Gigabit Ethernet in an aluminium body
USB-C 3.21x RJ45 GigabitNo driversAluminium
The Techly IDATA USB-ETGIGA-CA is a USB-C 3.2 to RJ45 Gigabit converter adapter that adds a 10/100/1000 Mbps wired network port to laptops, tablets and desktops with a USB-C port. It is aimed at users of thin notebooks without an Ethernet socket, and at anyone who wants a more stable connection than Wi-Fi for video meetings, online classes, gaming and large downloads.
Techly describes it as plug and play with no driver software required, compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux, and backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1. The aluminium housing in black and silver reduces interference and dissipates heat. The adapter measures 66.8 x 25 x 17.8 mm and connects through a 13.7 cm cable, so it lies flat next to the laptop.
It can also replace a damaged Ethernet port on a laptop or desktop, or add a second network interface without opening the case.
Before you order: Techly sells similar models with different plugs and speeds (USB-A, with hub, or 2.5G). This one is USB-C, 1 Gbps, without hub. The USB-C port must carry data, not charging only.
