The Thrustmaster Quick Release Upgrade is a conversion kit that permanently fits your existing Thrustmaster wheel rim with the new Direct Drive quick-release standard, making it natively compatible with the T818 Direct Drive base and future Thrustmaster bases. Beyond compatibility, the upgraded mount tightens force-feedback transmission for crisper, unfiltered effects, and lets you swap wheel rims in about five seconds — even mid-race. This is the retail kit, part number 4060325 (EAN 3362934004026), supplied with the screws and Torx tool needed to install it yourself. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Before you buy — compatibility & install
This is a permanent upgrade that replaces your wheel rim’s original attachment system (installation guide and video on the Thrustmaster support site). It fits a specific list of Thrustmaster rims (see the specifications table) and is not compatible with the Formula Wheel Add-On Ferrari SF1000 Edition. For rims not on the supported list, use the removable Quick Release Adapter instead. A compatible base and wheel rim are required — both sold separately.

If you have moved up to a T818 Direct Drive base and own an older Thrustmaster rim from the supported list, this upgrade is the cleanest way to keep using it — you get the native Direct Drive mount and tighter force feedback without buying a new wheel. Check your rim is on the compatible list first; if it is not (or you want a reversible option), choose the Quick Release Adapter instead. Note it does not fit the Ferrari SF1000 Edition rim, which uses its own dedicated SF1000 upgrade.
