The TP-Link VIGI C330 with the 6 mm lens is a 3MP full-colour bullet network camera for businesses, shops and homes that want a wired, recorder-based CCTV system rather than a cloud gadget. The 6 mm lens is the long-reach option of the C330 family: its 55° view is narrower, but it keeps faces and number plates identifiable further away, with TP-Link rating identification at about 10 m. White LEDs keep night footage in colour up to 30 m, and the IP67 housing is made for exposed outdoor walls. It is powered over the network cable from a PoE switch, records to a VIGI NVR or any ONVIF recorder, and is managed from the free VIGI app or VIGI Security Manager software. Part number VIGI C330(6mm) is the 6 mm version; the same camera is sold with other lenses, so check the field of view below before you order.

Compatibility — check before buying:
In the box: camera, quick start guide, waterproof cable attachment, mounting accessories. Not in the box: PoE switch or injector, 12 V power adapter, network cable, NVR. Power is not included: you need an 802.3af/at PoE switch or injector, or a 12 V DC adapter (5.5 mm plug). There is no memory-card slot — recording needs a VIGI NVR or another ONVIF recorder. It has no Wi-Fi; it needs a network cable to a switch. The 6 mm lens is narrow (55°). For a wide yard or a whole shopfront choose the 2.8 mm or 4 mm C330 instead. Not sure it fits your setup? Frequently Asked Questions

Where does it store recordings?
There is no memory-card slot on this model, so recordings go to a network video recorder or to software that supports ONVIF. If you build a small NVR system, pair it with surveillance hard drives made for 24/7 writing.
How do I power it?
Through the network cable from an 802.3af/at PoE switch or injector, or from a 12 V DC adapter. Neither is included. One cable for power and data is the neatest outdoor install; see our PoE switches if you do not have one yet.
Which lens should I choose?
The lens decides how wide and how far the camera sees. This 6 mm version covers 55° horizontally. The C330 is also sold with 2.8 mm (about 107°) and 4 mm (about 84°) lenses. The 6 mm is for long, narrow areas such as gates, driveways and car-park lanes where you need detail at a distance. Once installed, the lens cannot be swapped, so pick by the area you need to watch.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The housing is rated IP67 and works from −30 °C to 60 °C. A waterproof cable attachment is in the box to seal the network connection; mount it under an eave where possible to keep the lens clean.
Singular Expert Insight
The C330 is the 3MP colour bullet of the VIGI line. Choose the 6 mm version only when the thing you need to identify is far from the camera; for most doors and yards the 4 mm is the better all-rounder.
