TP-Link VIGI InSight S445S 4MP Turret Camera

ColorPro 2.0Smart IR / white lightTwo-way audioIP67

The TP-Link VIGI InSight S445S (2.8 mm) is a 4MP fixed turret camera for entrances, shops and car parks. Its 1/1.79" sensor and F1.0 2.8 mm lens cover 112.5° horizontally, and ColorPro 2.0 with an AI image processor keeps detail in very low light. At night it uses IR by default and switches to white light for full colour when it detects a person or vehicle, both up to 30 m. A built-in microphone and speaker give two-way audio, and AI detection includes intrusion, line crossing, loitering and abnormal sound. It is IP67 rated and runs on PoE+ or 12 V DC.

Compatibility — check before buying:
In the box: Camera, quick start guide, waterproof cable attachments, mounting accessories. Not in the box: microSD card, pole-mount kit, PoE+ switch or injector, 12 V DC adapter, NVR, network cable. PoE+ required: TP-Link lists 802.3at Class 4 at up to 17.9 W; an 802.3af port is not enough. Fixed view: the turret is angled by hand at installation; it does not pan or zoom. S445S vs S445: the S445S is the ColorPro 2.0 model; the S445 is a different, older full-colour turret. Check the S before ordering. Tell us your NVR or switch and we check PoE+ and compatibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does it record?
To a microSD card up to 512 GB (not included; see our microSD cards), to a VIGI NVR, or to VIGI VMS. It also supports ONVIF Profile S/T/G for compatible third-party recorders; tell us yours and we check.
How does the smart light work?
At night it uses invisible IR for a black-and-white image; when it detects a person or vehicle it switches on white light for a full-colour image of the event, up to 30 m.
Will my PoE switch power it?
Only a PoE+ (802.3at) port: TP-Link lists up to 17.9 W. Otherwise use a 12 V DC adapter. See our PoE switches.
Can I mount it on a pole?
Yes, with the pole-mount kit, sold separately. Tell us the pole diameter and we find the right one.
Singular Expert Insight
The InSight S445S is a strong fixed camera for entrances: ColorPro 2.0 and smart dual light give colour evidence without lighting the area all night. If you need to sweep a larger area, the VIGI C540S pan/tilt adds motorised movement. Browse all our IP cameras and add a PoE+ switch from our PoE switches.

Buyer’s Guide
