TP-Link UH720 — 7-Port USB 3.0 Hub with Two 2.4 A Charging Ports
7 × USB 3.0 data (5 Gbps)2 × 2.4 A charge ports12 V / 3.3 A adapterSurge protected
The TP-Link UH720 is a powered desk hub with seven USB 3.0 Type-A data ports at up to 5 Gbps on the front and two dedicated smart-charging ports on the side that supply up to 2.4 A for phones and tablets. The 12 V / 3.3 A adapter is included, as is a 1 m USB-A-to-Micro-B host cable, and TP-Link builds in over-heat, over-current, over-voltage and short-circuit protection with a power button. Part number UH720 measures 165 × 65.5 × 17.5 mm; the two charging ports are charge-only.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Host connection is USB-A (Micro-B socket on the hub, cable included); USB-C-only laptops need an adapter, not included. The two side ports are charge-only — no data. TP-Link states the seven data ports share a maximum of 3.5 A, and describes the charging ports as 2.4 A with a total of 2.4 A when charging simultaneously, so treat 2.4 A as the ceiling rather than 2 × 2.4 A guaranteed. No video, no Ethernet, no host charging.
Best For
✓ Home and office desktops that need more ports
✓ Charging a phone and a tablet beside the PC
✓ External drives that drop on unpowered hubs
✓ Printers, scanners and webcams on one machine
✓ Users who want a power button on the hub
✓ Chromebook and Mac users with USB-A accessories
Key Features
Seven data ports, powered
All seven front ports are USB 3.0 at up to 5 Gbps, hot-swappable and compatible with USB 2.0 / 1.1 devices; the 12 V / 3.3 A adapter keeps them stable under load.
Two charge-only ports
The side ports use smart charging detection for up to 2.4 A, so a phone or tablet charges without occupying a data port.
Protected and simple
Built-in surge protection covers over-heat, over-current, over-voltage and short circuit; a power button with a soft white LED sits on top. Plug & play on Windows, macOS, ChromeOS and Linux.

Singular Expert Insight
The UH720 is a well-behaved office hub: powered, protected, with a real power button and charging kept away from the data ports. It is USB-A end to end — for a USB-C laptop that needs charging and a monitor, one of our docking stations is the better base, with a hub like this beside it for extra sockets. Compare the rest of our USB hubs for models with standalone charging or Quick Charge. Not sure it fits your setup? Tell us your laptop or PC model and what you want to plug in and we will check it before you order.
