Transcend JetFlash 700 128 GB — Slim USB-A Drive
128 GBUSB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A8.5 g, 61.5 mm5-year warranty
The Transcend JetFlash 700 (TS128GJF700) is a plain, light 128 GB USB-A flash drive: 61.5 mm long, 8.5 grams, with a smooth one-piece body in Transcend’s piano-black finish and no moving parts to break. The interface is USB 3.1 Gen 1, a 5 Gbps link that is backwards compatible with older USB ports, and Transcend backs it with a five-year limited warranty. It is the drive you buy in quantity for handing files around an office or a classroom.
Compatibility — check before buying:
???? Do not confuse it with the Transcend JetFlash 350. Transcend publishes the same 61.5 mm body and the same 8.5 g weight for both, both are black, and a photograph will not tell them apart — but the JetFlash 350 is USB 2.0, roughly five times slower in practice, while this JetFlash 700 is USB 3.1 Gen 1. If the two are close on price, this is the one to take. Transcend publishes no read or write speed for the JetFlash 700 at any capacity, so there is no figure to compare it on. Note also that Transcend documents the JetFlash 700 and 730 on one shared datasheet, listing black and white for the pair without saying which model is which — order by part number, not by colour. Transcend publishes no keyring loop for the 700 (the JetFlash 790 does have one), no housing material and no operating temperature.
Best For
✓ Handing documents to colleagues or students
✓ Bulk purchases for an office or school
✓ A light drive that adds nothing to a pocket
✓ Bootable installers and recovery media
✓ Spare drives to keep in a desk
✓ Backups of working folders
Key Features
Slim and genuinely light
61.5 × 18.6 × 8.7 mm at 8.5 g maximum. It does not project far enough to catch on a bag or foul the USB port next to it, which on a laptop with closely spaced sockets is a real advantage.
No moving parts
A sturdy one-piece body with a smooth surface. There is no slider to jam and no hinge to snap, which is why this shape survives being handed around an office for years.
USB 3.1 Gen 1, not USB 2.0
A 5 Gbps interface that works in any USB port, old or new. This is the specification that separates it from the near-identical JetFlash 350, and it is worth roughly five times the transfer speed in practice.
Five-year warranty and Transcend Elite
Transcend covers the drive for five years and offers Transcend Elite free — a backup, restore, encryption and cloud tool for Windows, macOS and Android that runs on your computer.

Singular Expert Insight
The JetFlash 700 is a deliberately plain drive and that is its strength: nothing to break, 8.5 g, and Transcend’s five-year warranty, which is longer cover than most drives at this price carry. The real limitation is documentation rather than hardware — Transcend publishes no transfer speeds anywhere in its consumer JetFlash line, so you are buying an interface rather than a measured figure. For handing documents around, that is fine. Where it genuinely matters is against its own lookalike: the JetFlash 350 is the same body at USB 2.0, and if a supplier quotes you both at similar prices, this is the one to take. Tell us what the drives are for and how many you need, and we will price it properly.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a light, plain 128 GB USB-A drive for documents and installers, USB 3.1 Gen 1 speed matters more to you than a slider or a keyring loop, and five years of cover appeals.
Skip it if
You need a USB-C connector for a phone or a modern laptop, you need a stated transfer speed to compare, or you want genuine hardware encryption rather than a software tool.
Also consider
The Transcend JetFlash 790 for the same brand with a capless slider and a keyring loop, or the JetFlash 350 only if you want the cheapest option and USB 2.0 speed is genuinely enough.
