Transcend JetFlash 730 128 GB — Slim USB 3.2 Gen 1 Drive in White
128 GBUSB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gbit/s)61.5 x 18.6 x 8.7 mm, 8.5 g5-year Transcend warranty
The Transcend JetFlash 730 is a 128 GB USB 3.1 Gen 1 flash drive — the same 5 Gbit/s link now more commonly labelled USB 3.2 Gen 1 — in a slim, smooth-surfaced body measuring 61.5 x 18.6 x 8.7 mm and weighing no more than 8.5 g. It is a plain Type-A stick with no software to install, and Transcend backs it with a five-year limited warranty.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Two things worth knowing before ordering. First, the JetFlash 730 shares its body exactly with the USB 2.0 JetFlash 350 — 61.5 x 18.6 x 8.7 mm and 8.5 g on both — so a photograph will not tell you which generation you are looking at. This one is the USB 3 drive; if you see the same shape sold as a 350, that is the slow one. Second, Transcend prints the JetFlash 700 and 730 on one product sheet with the colour line reading black and white, and does not state which model is which. Our listing follows the supplier data in describing this as the white drive. If the exact colour is critical to your purchase, tell us and we will confirm before we ship. Beyond that, this is a USB Type-A plug and would need an adapter to reach a phone; none is included.
Best For
✓ Everyday transport of documents, photographs, presentations and installers
✓ Machines with USB-A ports where a slim drive must not block the next socket
✓ Anyone who wants 128 GB in a very light body
✓ Keeping install and recovery media that will be used occasionally
✓ Buyers who value a five-year manufacturer term
✓ Telling drives apart in an office where several black sticks circulate
Key Features
128 GB in 8.5 grams
Transcend quotes 8.5 g as a maximum, in a body under 62 mm long and 8.7 mm thick. It is one of the lighter ways to carry this much storage in a Type-A drive.
USB 3.1 Gen 1
A 5 Gbit/s SuperSpeed link, which is the same thing modern labelling calls USB 3.2 Gen 1. Backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports, at those ports’ speeds.
Sturdy, smooth housing
Transcend describes the body as a sturdy structure with a smooth surface. There is no exposed circuit board and no textured shell to collect grime in a pocket.
Five-year limited warranty
Transcend publishes five years across the JetFlash range. At this price point a five-year manufacturer term is unusual and worth factoring into the comparison.

Singular Expert Insight
The JetFlash 730 is the quiet, unremarkable choice, and that is meant as a compliment: 128 GB, under 9 grams, five years of manufacturer cover, nothing to install. The two things to watch are both about identification rather than quality. It shares a body with the USB 2.0 JetFlash 350, so buy by model number; and Transcend does not resolve which of the 700 and 730 is the white one, so we follow the supplier data and say so openly rather than pretending to a certainty that does not exist. If a published read and write figure is part of how you compare drives, several brands in our USB flash drives range state both. For files you intend to work from rather than carry, an external SSD is the right class of product.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want 128 GB of USB 3 storage in a very light, slim body, with a five-year manufacturer term, and you do not need a printed MB/s figure to decide.
Skip it if
You compare drives on published speeds, because Transcend gives none for this family. You need a USB-C connector. Or you need an absolute guarantee on the colour.
Also consider
Transcend JetFlash 790 for the same brand with a capless slide-out mechanism and a lanyard loop. Transcend JetFlash 350 only if you genuinely do not need USB 3 speed. A model with published speeds if you want to compare on numbers.
