The TRENDnet TPE-104GS Gigabit PoE Splitter separates Gigabit data and DC power from a single PoE cable, so a device without PoE can run up to 100 m from a PoE switch or injector. A DIP switch sets the DC output to 5 V (2 A), 9 V (2 A) or 12 V (1.5 A), LEDs show the status, and the compact 84 x 63 x 22 mm, 64 g housing can be wall-mounted. TRENDnet’s current hardware version is V2, which is what this page describes.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The TPE-104GS needs an IEEE 802.3af PoE source upstream — it does not generate power. TRENDnet lists 802.3af only, not PoE+ (802.3at), so for devices that need more power choose the TPE-114GS. Output is limited to 5, 9 or 12 V; set the DIP switch before connecting. DC jumper cables are included, but check that one fits your device’s power socket. Tell us the exact model you have and we check compatibility before you order.
