16 Gigabit Ports, Fanless & Silent — Plug-and-Play Networking
16× Gigabit RJ45UnmanagedFanless Metal32 Gbps FabricDesktop / Rackmount
The TRENDnet TEG-S17D packs sixteen Gigabit Ethernet ports into a sturdy, fanless metal case that runs completely silent — ideal for a busy office, a home lab or a small server rack. There's nothing to configure: every port auto-negotiates speed and duplex, delivering the full 32 Gbps switching fabric and 9KB jumbo frame support straight out of the box. An internal 100–240V power supply, GREENnet energy savings and an included rack-mount kit make it a tidy, dependable upgrade wherever you've run out of ports.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Fully plug-and-play — no drivers, app or setup. Works with any router, PC, NAS, console or IP device using a standard RJ45 cable. The power cable plugs straight into mains (internal PSU, no external brick).
Best For
✓Expanding a home or office network with 16 Gigabit ports
✓Silent operation in a living room, studio or quiet office
✓A small 19" rack that needs a clean, reliable switch
✓Fast file transfer to a NAS with jumbo frame support

Fanless Metal, Completely Silent
A rugged metal chassis with a fanless design produces zero acoustic noise, so it's happy on a desk, a shelf or in a shared living space.
32 Gbps Fabric + 9KB Jumbo Frames
A 32 Gbps non-blocking switching fabric, 8K MAC table and 9KB jumbo frame support keep large transfers and heavy multi-device traffic moving smoothly.
Internal PSU + GREENnet Efficiency
An internal 100–240V AC power supply (no external brick) and GREENnet technology cut power draw to a max of ~9.2W, adjusting to cable length and link status.

Singular Expert Insight
For anyone who simply needs more Gigabit ports without noise or fuss, the TEG-S17D is an easy pick — sixteen ports, silent metal chassis and an internal PSU mean one clean cable to the wall and you're done. If you ever need to segment traffic, set up VLANs or prioritise QoS, you'd want a managed model instead; and if some of your devices are cameras or access points that need power over the cable, look at a PoE switch rather than this non-PoE unit. Browse the wider networking range to match it with the right cabling and router.
