The TRENDnet TI-BF22SFP is an industrial media converter with two independent fibre-to-copper channels: two Gigabit SFP slots paired with two Gigabit RJ45 ports that deliver IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ power from a shared 90 W budget.
In one hardened IP30 DIN-rail unit it can bring two cameras or access points onto fibre — for example on a pole, a perimeter fence or a factory wall — at -40 to 75°C.
Before you order: No SFP modules and no power supply are included. You need two 1000 Mbps SFPs (one per channel) and a 48–56V DC supply on the terminal block — TRENDnet's TI-S15052 is the matching PSU. Without it nothing powers up.

What It Means in Practice
- Each SFP is paired with one PoE++ port, so you get two separate fibre links in one box.
- The 90 W PoE budget is shared: one 802.3bt device at high power plus a smaller one, or two PoE+ cameras with room to spare. TRENDnet does not publish a per-port limit.
- A 2-position DIP switch enables Link Fault Pass-through per port (default off).
- Compatible TRENDnet SFPs include TI-MGBSX (multimode 550 m) and TI-MGBS10/20/40 (single-mode 10/20/40 km).
What Will Not Work
- Without a 48–56V DC supply — a 12/24V PLC supply will not run it.
- 100 Mbps (100FX) SFP modules — the slots are Gigabit.
- Two devices each drawing the full 802.3bt maximum at the same time.
- Management or VLAN configuration.
