TRENDnet TI-UF11SFP — Industrial SFP to Gigabit UPoE Media Converter
SFP 100/1000 ↔ Gigabit RJ45High-power PoE up to 60 W-40 to 75 °CDIN-rail · DC input
The TRENDnet TI-UF11SFP is an industrial media converter that takes a fibre link on a 100/1000 Mbps SFP slot and delivers it on a Gigabit RJ45 port with high-power PoE — PoE, PoE+ and UPoE devices up to 60 W. It is designed for the remote end of a fibre run where the device itself needs a lot of power: PTZ cameras with heaters or IR, outdoor access points, small PoE switches or digital signage players.
The fibre side is an SFP slot, so you choose multi-mode or single-mode optics and the reach you need. The unit is rated for -40 °C to 75 °C, mounts on a DIN rail or a wall, and is powered from 48–56 V DC through a removable terminal block. Neither an SFP module nor a power supply is included.
Before you order: You need an SFP module matching your fibre (100 or 1000 Mbps, multi-mode or single-mode) and a 48–56 V DC supply big enough for the PoE device plus the converter itself (TRENDnet lists the TI-S12048 120 W supply). TRENDnet also sells a later hardware revision of this model rated for higher PoE power; if your device needs more than 60 W, ask us which revision is supplied before ordering.
What's in the Box
- 1 × TRENDnet TI-UF11SFP industrial media converter
- 1 × removable terminal block (power)
- 1 × DIN-rail / wall mount kit
- SFP module, power supply and fibre patch cords are not included
What It Means in Practice
- One TI-UF11SFP at the far end of a fibre powers a high-draw PoE device and connects it at Gigabit speed — no injector or mains socket needed in the cabinet.
- 60 W covers most heated PTZ cameras and outdoor access points that exceed the 30 W PoE+ limit.
- Choose the SFP for your fibre: 1000Base-SX for multi-mode, LX/LH for single-mode; 100 Mbps modules are also supported.
- Budget the DC supply for the full PoE load plus margin — a 48 V 120 W DIN-rail supply is the usual choice.
- Jumbo frame support and Gigabit throughput suit HD video streams.
What Will Not Work
- It will not work without an SFP module in the slot.
- It will not power PoE from a 12 V or 24 V supply; it needs 48–56 V DC.
- It is not a switch: one SFP port and one RJ45 port only.
- It has no web or SNMP management.
- It is not a sealed outdoor device — install it in a cabinet or enclosure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it power standard PoE devices too?
Yes — it supports 802.3af PoE and 802.3at PoE+ devices as well as UPoE devices up to 60 W.
Which SFP do I need?
A 100 Mbps or 1000 Mbps SFP for your fibre type and distance, e.g. TRENDnet TI-MGBSX (multi-mode) or TI-MGBS10/20/40 (single-mode). Tell us your fibre and we will match one.
What about devices that need 90 W?
This hardware is specified for up to 60 W. For higher loads ask us — TRENDnet's later revision and other models are rated for more.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Use the TI-UF11SFP where PoE+ is not enough:
PTZ or heated IP cameras, outdoor Wi-Fi or a small PoE switch at the end of a long fibre. Plan the SFP, a 48–56 V DC supply sized for the full PoE load and a proper cabinet together.
✓ Buy it if you need to power and connect a 30–60 W PoE device at the remote end of a fibre link in an industrial or outdoor-cabinet location.
✕ Skip it if your device only needs PoE+ (30 W) — the TI-PF11SFP is enough — or you need more than 60 W.
→ Also consider TRENDnet TI-PF11SFP (industrial SFP to Gigabit PoE+, 30 W) or TI-F10S30 (industrial single-mode converter, no PoE).
Send us the device model and its PoE class, your fibre type and distance, and we will confirm the SFP, power supply and hardware revision before you order.
