The TRENDnet TPE-219GI is a single-port 2.5G PoE++ injector that adds up to 90 W of IEEE 802.3bt power to a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet link, so one Wi-Fi 6/6E access point, PTZ camera or other high-power device can run from a single cable. It is aimed at networks with a 2.5G or Gigabit switch that has no PoE, or not enough PoE budget, for one demanding device.
Connect the switch to the data port, the device to the PoE port and the injector to the mains. The power supply is built in, and the metal housing can be fixed to a wall.
Before you order: The data side is 2.5G: it passes 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps, not 5G or 10G. If your access point has a 5G or 10G uplink, look at a 10G injector instead.

- Up to 90 W on one port covers high-power access points, PTZ cameras with heaters, thin clients and PoE displays.
- Auto-sensing: 802.3af (15.4 W), 802.3at (30 W) and 802.3bt (90 W) devices take only what they need.
- A 2.5 Gbps data path matches the uplink of most Wi-Fi 6/6E access points over existing Cat5e cabling.
- Power, PoE and link LEDs make troubleshooting quick at the rack.
What Will Not Work
- No 5G or 10G pass-through — the link stays at a maximum of 2.5 Gbps.
- It powers one device only; for several devices a PoE switch is better value.
- Passive (non-standard) PoE devices are not supported.
- It does not extend distance beyond 100 m.
