The TRENDnet TPE-TG182 is an 18-port Gigabit switch with sixteen PoE+ ports (IEEE 802.3af/at, up to 30 W each), two dedicated Gigabit SFP slots and a 240 W total PoE budget, in a metal 1U rack-mount housing. It is an unmanaged, plug-and-play switch for camera systems, phone systems and access points where the uplink needs to run over fibre — to another building, the server room or a remote cabinet.

The two SFP slots are dedicated, not shared, so you keep all sixteen PoE ports for devices while uplinking or daisy-chaining over fibre.

• 240 W across 16 ports: e.g. sixteen cameras at up to 15 W each, or eight PoE+ APs at 30 W.
• Use the SFP slots for long fibre runs (with single-mode modules, many kilometres) or to link two switches.
• A single quiet fan (26 dB max) makes it acceptable in a small office rack.
• No setup: devices are detected and powered automatically.

• No management — no VLANs, QoS settings or SNMP.
• It does not support 802.3bt (60/90 W) devices.
• It cannot deliver 30 W on all 16 ports at once (480 W would be needed).
• SFP modules are not included.
