TRENDnet TPE-TG83 8-Port Gigabit PoE+ Switch, 65 W
8x Gigabit PoE+65 W budgetFanlessMetal housing
The TRENDnet TPE-TG83 is an 8-port Gigabit switch in which all eight ports can supply IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ (up to 30 W per port) from a 65 W total budget, in a compact, fanless metal housing for desktop or wall mounting. It is an unmanaged plug-and-play switch for small offices, shops and homes powering a few IP cameras, phones or access points.
Because it is fanless it runs silently, and the small metal case can sit on a desk, under a counter or on the wall next to a camera recorder.
What's in the Box
- TRENDnet TPE-TG83 switch
- External power adapter (55 V DC, 1.3 A)
- Quick installation guide
What It Means in Practice
- 65 W covers, for example, four cameras at 12 W plus two phones at 6 W, or two PoE+ access points at around 25 W each.
- Any port can power a device — and any port can also connect the uplink to your router.
- Silent, fanless operation suits offices and living spaces.
- No configuration: plug in and it works; it passes 802.1p/DSCP priority tags from your devices.
What Will Not Work
- It cannot power eight PoE+ devices at full 30 W — the total is 65 W.
- No management — no VLANs, monitoring or SNMP.
- No SFP fibre port and no 802.3bt (60/90 W) support.
- It is not rack-mountable.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The TPE-TG83 is a tidy, silent way to power a handful of PoE devices: eight PoE+ ports and a 65 W budget in a small metal case. Add up your devices' maximum draw first — if you go over 65 W, step up to a larger PoE switch. See our other network switches.
✓ Buy it if you need to power up to a few cameras, phones or APs in a small office or home without noise.
✕ Skip it if you need more than 65 W, VLANs or rack mounting.
→ Also consider the TRENDnet TPE-TG182 for 16 PoE+ ports and 240 W.
Send us your camera or AP models and we will check whether 65 W is enough before you order.
