8-Port Gigabit PoE+ Switch with 120W Budget
8× Gigabit PoE+120W Budget16 GbpsUnmanagedFanless
The TRENDnet TPE-TG84 powers and connects your network in one silent, unmanaged switch. All eight Gigabit ports support PoE+ (IEEE 802.3af/at), delivering up to 30W per port from a generous 120W budget to run IP cameras, VoIP phones and Wi-Fi access points over a single Ethernet cable — no separate power supplies needed. It is completely plug-and-play, fanless for silent operation, and built into a rugged metal chassis you can place on a desk or mount on a wall.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Works with any PoE or PoE+ powered device (802.3af/at) and any standard Gigabit or Fast Ethernet equipment. Non-PoE devices connect normally on the same ports; the switch supplies power only to devices that request it.
Best For
✓ Powering Gigabit IP cameras and Wi-Fi 6 APs
✓ Small offices needing silent, high-power PoE
✓ Extending a network where power outlets are scarce
✓ Desk or wall installation in tight spaces
Key Features
8 Gigabit PoE+ Ports
Every port is Gigabit and PoE+ capable, supplying up to 30W per device from a 120W total budget to power cameras, phones and access points over the data cable.
Generous 120W Budget
A large 120W PoE budget powers a full set of Gigabit PoE devices at once, comfortably running several higher-draw cameras or Wi-Fi 6 access points.
Unmanaged Plug-and-Play
No configuration and no software. Auto-negotiation, automatic PoE detection and store-and-forward switching mean it works the moment you connect it.
Fanless Silent Metal Build
Passive cooling keeps it completely silent, and the sturdy metal chassis supports both desktop placement and wall mounting.

Singular Expert Insight
The TPE-TG84 sits in the sweet spot for small Gigabit PoE deployments: eight full-Gigabit ports, a healthy 120W budget and silent fanless operation, without the cost or complexity of a managed switch. The 120W budget comfortably runs a mix of cameras and Wi-Fi 6 access points. If you need more ports, an SFP uplink or VLANs, that is where to step up. Compare PoE and standard options across our network switches, and find cameras, APs and cabling in the wider networking range.
Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You want to power and connect up to eight Gigabit PoE+ cameras, phones or Wi-Fi access points over one cable each, silently and with no configuration, within a 120W budget.
Skip it if
Your powered devices need more than 120W in total, or you require managed features such as VLANs, QoS control or link aggregation — choose a higher-budget or managed PoE switch.
Also consider
Check the total wattage of your PoE devices against the 120W budget, and consider a managed or SFP-equipped PoE model if you need VLANs or a fibre uplink later.
